Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Fictify (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

2. The Service

Fictify is an AI-powered storytelling platform that provides short fiction for reading, allows creators to publish original stories, and offers community features. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time.

3. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You must not share your account credentials with others
• You must accurately represent your age group during registration
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

4. Content & Age Ratings

Stories on Fictify are rated G, PG, 15, or 18. Content is filtered based on your age group. You must not attempt to bypass age restrictions. AI-generated content may occasionally contain unexpected themes; please report any concerns via the in-app reporting feature.

5. Creator Terms

If you apply and are approved as a Creator:

• You retain copyright to your original stories
• You grant Fictify a non-exclusive licence to display your content on the platform
• You must not publish content that violates our community guidelines
• Earnings are subject to our revenue split terms and Stripe Connect processing
• We may remove content or suspend your creator account for guideline violations

6. Subscriptions & Payments

• Free accounts have a daily reading limit
• Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or annually
• New premium subscriptions include a 7-day free trial
• In-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google and subject to their refund policies
• Web subscriptions are processed by Stripe
• You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period

7. Community Guidelines

When using community features (comments, discussions), you must not:

• Post hateful, abusive, or threatening content
• Harass other users or creators
• Share spam or promotional content
• Impersonate others
• Share personally identifying information about others

8. Intellectual Property

The Fictify brand, design, and AI-generated stories are owned by Fictify. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without permission. Creator-submitted stories remain the intellectual property of their respective authors.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
